Sukhbir Singh Badal - Culture and Heritage of Punjab

Punjab is the land full of sacrifice and warrior histories most of Indian history took place on the land of Punjab thus Punjab is called the land of Lions. The sikh Gurus taught new ways of living and to preserve and propogate their teachings of their respective Gurus, the Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh badal enhance the culture and heritage of Punjab.

S.Sukhbir Singh efforts towards culture and heritage are:

:- Entrance Plaza at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar has been completed at a cost of Rs. 90 crore.

:- Historic Memorials at Chapparchiri (SAS Nagar) It is situated just outside Mohali, a few kms from Landran and 20 Kms from Sirhind. This area was the scene of a historic battle called Battle of Sirhind. Kup Ruhira (Malerkotla) & Chhamb Khanuwan (Gurdaspur) constructed to commemorate the victory of Sirhind by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur & in the memory of Chotta & Wadda Ghallughara martyrs respectively.
:- State-of-the-Art Freedom Martyrs Memorial to come up at Kartarpur (Jalandhar) to immortalize contribution of Punjabis in Indian freedom struggle
:- Panj Sarovar and Heritage Walk in Amritsar awarded as Best Heritage Walk by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India in 2013. This walk aims to introduce the story of five important sarovarsto the visitors and to also give them an insight into the evolution of Sikhism. The walk begins at Sri Santokhsar Sahib Sarovar and moves along the road passing the Gurdwara Saragarhi and Jallianwala   Bagh, Sri Bibeksar Sahib Sarovar, Sri Ramsar Sahib Sarovar, the walk leads us into the premises of the Sri Harmandir Sahib, passing the langar hall to Ramgarhia Bunga and then to the final and most sacred
sarovar, Sri Amrit Sarovar Sahib.

There are many such works done by S.Sukhbir Singh Badal but these are some excel work which are praised worthy and enriches the heritage of Punjab.
