Sukhbir Singh Badal - MEDICAL DEVELOPMENT PUNJAB

Since the formation of government in Punjab, the Shiromani Akali Dal President, S.Sukhbir Singh Badal along with the Chief Minister, S.Parkash Sigh Badal has been continuously working towards providing the most advanced and best healthcare facilities to the entire state of Punjab. They launched various schemes and policies and are working towards the udgradation of the infrastructural facilities in hospitals and healthcare centres to benefit every section of the society with the best medical facilities.

-    Fight against cancer
A 60 crore state-of-the-art cancer diagnostic center is being established and Rs 300 crore are sanctioned for upgrading infrastructure of cancer diagnostic centers and medical colleges. They have also spent 106.24 crore for the free treatment of cancer patients. The SAD government is also setting up various 100-400 bedded hospitals across Punjab.

-    Free treatment
Free treatment of girls upto 5 years, TB patients and pregnant women and children (upto 1 year) is being provided. They have spent 90 crores on providing free medicines to patients.

-   Superspeciality departments and improving medical infrastructure
6 new mother care and child care hospitals established and 12 more coming up with a cost of 106.71 crores. They also established digital x-ray system at all the 22 district hospitals at Khanna.

-   Schemes
Bhai Ghanaiya scheme lauched in 2006 which is providing its beneficiaries with cashless treatment. They also launched the Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna which provides a sum of 30000 per family for the treatment.

Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and the SAD government have been successful I improving the conditions of the medical facilities in the entire state of Punjab and they have envisioned even more advanced facilities wich is only possible with the support from the center which will be ensured if Shri Narendra Modi is elected as the Prime Minister of India in the upcoming election on 30th April, 2014. Kup Ruhira (Malerkotla) & Chhamb Khanuwan (Gurdaspur) constructed to commemorate the victory of Sirhind by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur & in the memory of Chotta & Wadda Ghallughara martyrs respectively.
:- State-of-the-Art Freedom Martyrs Memorial to come up at Kartarpur (Jalandhar) to immortalize contribution of Punjabis in Indian freedom struggle
:- Panj Sarovar and Heritage Walk in Amritsar awarded as Best Heritage Walk by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India in 2013. This walk aims to introduce the story of five important sarovarsto the visitors and to also give them an insight into the evolution of Sikhism. The walk begins at Sri Santokhsar Sahib Sarovar and moves along the road passing the Gurdwara Saragarhi and Jallianwala   Bagh, Sri Bibeksar Sahib Sarovar, Sri Ramsar Sahib Sarovar, the walk leads us into the premises of the Sri Harmandir Sahib, passing the langar hall to Ramgarhia Bunga and then to the final and most sacred
sarovar, Sri Amrit Sarovar Sahib.

Development Missoins of The Sukhbir Singh Badal Government

After forming the government in 2007, the Shiromani Akali Dal government has been continuously working towards bringing development in Punjab. The SAD leaders, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal who is the honourable CM of Punjab and Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, the party president and the deputy CM envisioned a 360 degree development, that is, development in every section of the society of Punjab. The SAD government undertook various missions for a Progressive Punjab which they hope to fulfill in the next three years.

• Every town of Punjab to be connected with 4-6 lane expressways.

The SAD-BJP government has undertaken a mission to build 4-6 lane expressways that will connect every town and city of the state. This will bring infrastructural development and will also reduce the traffic chaos in the state.

• Industrial package for Punjab: Incentives to new industrial units and those planning expansion.

The SAD government is working towards the mission which provides an excellent package for the new industrial units and the ones planning expansion. The package includes, 100% excise duty exemption, 100% income tax exemption, Capital investment subsidy at 15% on investment in plant and machinery and freight subsidy. The SAD leaders have already implemented this policy and are giving these subsidies to new traders to enhance trade in the state of Punjab.

• To develop Amritsar, Mohali and Ludhiana as industrial hubs.

The SAD government hopes to make Punjab an IT hub of the country like Bengaluru and for that, they are enhancing IT set-ups in Amritsar, Mohali and Ludhiana. Recently, they laid the foundation stone of the leading IT company of India, Infosys in Mohali and have given the space to other IT comapies to set up their campuses there. This will generate more skilled employement for the people and would help the cities to develop as IT hubs for the state.

The SAD government has changed the entire face of the state and is bringing continuous development. This mission will get fulfilled effectively with the support from the centre which will only be possible with the coming of a Pro-Punjab NDA government at the centre with Shri Narendra Modi as the PM of India. Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal has termed Modi as 'Movement of Developing India' and he believes that only the the SAD-BJP alliance can bring unprecedented development in Punjab.

Sukhbir Singh Badal have joined politics in the year 1996 since than he dedicated his life for the progress and prosperity of Punjab and indeed we can see his hard work throughout the Punjab. With the coming of Sukhbir Singh Badal (the Deputy chief minister of Punjab) the state of Punjab was flourishing rapidly after a long sleep, his governance achievements provided the best services towards the people tried to heal their sufferings by providing them electricity as Punjab is power surplus state now which is our biggest achievements. Safe drinking water, sanitation, developing health care by providing free treatment of TB, Cancer, heart diseases at PGI, Patiala and Amritsar, 108 Emergency Ambulance Service across Punjab.

Sukhbir  Badal's citizen services are being provided through 500 Saanjh Kendras, 153 Fard Kendras, 132 Suvidha & 2112 Gram Suvidha Kendras. Giving his hand towards farmers as Punjab is an agricultural state and to boost this agriculture  he have arranged an agriculture summit on 16th to 19th February 2014 at different venues. Improving transport, roads, main aim is to connect its major towns with 4 lane roads and to avoid traffic chaos we have built flyovers, high level bridges, rail over bridges and rail under bridges.

Sukhbir Singh Badal is the president of SAD aim to make Punjab the investment destination of the country fortunately Reserve Bank of India declared Punjab as 3rd best state in the country for investment thus we have launched Rahat Scheme, new industrial policy, and many steps towards the growth of Punjab, progressive Punjab investment summit and Punjab bureau of investment promotion setup. In the field of sports we have accomplished the 14 multi-purpose stadiums, 5000 multi Gyms and 9000 sports kits. To promote the ethnic and traditional game we organized four world kabbadi cups from 2010-2013.
